“My identity is a system of language. With vocabulary, I can become whatever I want to manifest.”
Language provides the power to have ideas, and when we have that vocabulary, we have the ability to recognize the identity we want to manifest.
“I compartmentalize my Identity into a system of language. The noun is non-binary, the verb is gender fluid, and the adjective is trans-masc. Before I didn’t have this vocabulary, I didn’t know who I was.” – Neo
A voice actor themselves, Neo attributes their first short haircut as the spark to find this vocabulary and in doing so, finding their voice. We’re proud to celebrate someone as vocal, empowering, and #beautifuLGBTQ as Neo.
What Does Transgender Mean? "An umbrella term for people whose gender identity and/or gender expression differs from what is typically associated with the sex they were assigned at birth. People under the transgender umbrella may describe themselves using one or more of a wide variety of terms - including transgender. Some of those terms are defined below. Use the descriptive term preferred by the person. Many transgender people are prescribed hormones by their doctors to bring their bodies into alignment with their gender identity. Some undergo surgery as well. But not all transgender people can or will take those steps, and a transgender identity is not dependent upon physical appearance or medical procedures." - GLAAD
